Integrating 3D Indoor and Outdoor Navigation Systems for Emergency Response
Indoor and Outdoor Positioning Systems, 3D Spatial Modelling, Spatial Data Infrastructure in Safety Applications, Wireless and Ad Hoc Networks
Hosna received both her BSc (2005-2009) and MSc (2009-2001) in Information Technology Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT). She worked on Peer to Peer Networks during her bachelor’s project and was awarded the best BSc project in the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology in 2009.
She specialised in Computer Networks during her Masters (2009-2011) and worked on Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET), which is a key aspect of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Through this work she presented a novel method to overcome the unbalanced data traffic distribution problem in the network. The outcome of this project was presented and published in the proceedings of the 75th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in 2012.
In 2010 she joined the Intelligent Transportation Systems Research Institute of Amirkabir University of Technology and was involved in the “Public Transportation System Modelling” project. She also co-instructed a few courses at AUT from 2010 to 2012 and was involved in software and data modelling projects ever since.
