Integration of BIM Into Land Administration Processes
BIM, 3D cadastre, Land Administration, Mobile GIS and Location Based Decision Making
Behnam Atazadeh has completed his bachelor in Geomatics Engineering at Tabriz University in 2009 and his Masters in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology in 2012. During his masters, he focused on personalization of location based services using mutli-criteria decision analysis algorithms. The output of his masters thesis was a mutli-criteria restaurant finder for the City of Tehran (A demo video of this work is available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmAd_3KQgUM). After receiving his masters, he was involved in a research project titled "Design and Implementation of Mobile GIS for Iranian National Gas Transmission Company" where he was responsible for development of the prototype system.
Behnam commenced his PhD in Geomatics in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Melbourne in 2013. He is currently looking into the integration of Building Information Models (BIMs) into land administration processes. In his research, data models for both BIMs and the cadastre will be evaluated and then challenges and requirements regarding the incorporation of BIMs into the cadastral data model will be investigated.
