Spatially Enabling Health Data

in the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires

Centre for Spatial Data Infrastructures and Land Administration was commissioned by the Lower Hume Primary Care Partnership (LHPCP) to research the potential and to document the technical requirements for spatially enabling health related data in the Shires of Mitchell and Murrindindi.


The Study Area

The study area is comprised of two shires Mitchell and Murrindindi, located approximately 50km North/North East of the Melbourne CBD. The population of the area is over 47,000 (14,000 in Murrindindi and 33,000 in Mitchell) over an area of 6,753 sq km. Population projections estimate that the population of the area will grow by 24% (58,000) to 2020.

 

The region is comprised of the following towns.
